The PAN-IIT Biotech Conferences are hosted by the Department of Biotechnology at Indian Institute of Technology Madras Campus (IITM) and the Mehta Family Foundation. The conference brings together scientists from Indian institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Science and Educational Research (IISERs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) as well as International research community to discuss innovation in the biotechnology area.
The Mehta Family Foundation sponsored the third iteration of the PAN IIT-Biotech Conference provided a platform of collaboration for emerging cancer researchers from India and other countries.
This conference focused on cancer genomics, drug development, target selection and the impact of new discoveries in personalized treatment strategies. The discussions covered a range of topics around cancer, such as, cancer functional genomics, cancer immunogenomics, epigenomics, metabolomics, cancer mouse models and the translation and clinical impact of scientific results.
