Working together students get access to online learning

The Mehta Family Foundation is pleased to support Elsik High School in the Alief Independent School District. In partnership with Sarva Mangal Family Trust and the Anekant Community Center, Jainesh and Mamta Mehta of the Mehta Family Foundation worked with Tina Etzy of Elsik High and Dee Jones at Alief ISD to provide and distribute 100 Chromebooks to students to facilitate e-learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The chief trustee and the President of Jain Center of Houston, helped to receive the shipment, and organization youth members helped to pack and label the Chromebooks, which were presented to the school on December 14th, 2020

 

 

Tina Etzy the principal at Elsik High, said ”we are truly appreciative of the donation of 100 chromebooks to our students from the Mehta Foundation. This donation will impact the future of our students and it supports our goal of ensuring students are equipped with the resources and skills needed to develop technologically literacy.”

Dee Jones, the community partnership coordinator at Alief facilitated the process from beginning to end “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the sponsors donating the funding to purchase 100 Chromebook computers to Elsik High School students,” Jones said. “Your wonderful donation will make a real difference in the lives of the recipients
